Show-Me Saturday's: Honeybees and Beekeeping
Along with presenter, Markie Pendleton, discover the amazing honeybee and how they are managed by beekeepers to produce honey and wax.  Explore the history, equipment, and techniques of beekeeping.

Registration is limited, so call or e-mail to sign up today and learn the basic techniques of blacksmithing.  Workshop participants will create their own project to take home.

Show-Me Saturday's: Wood Stove Cooking Workshop
Make a connection with the past by discovering the art of cooking on a woodstove.  Workshop participants will prepare and cook a lunch using the oven and stovetop of our historic stoves.

Summer Barn Dance featuring the Redbirds and Caller Tim Jenkins
Enjoy live fiddle and banjo tunes while learning traditional square, round and contra dances.  An experienced caller will teach all dances and no experience is necessary.  The family-friendly dance will be held in the beautiful 1890's Nennig Dance Pavilion with refreshments available in the Town Hall.  A great time is guaranteed!

MCHS Local History Series
Songs of Lake Michigan with Lee Murdock

Lee Murdock has discovered a boundless body of music and stories from the Great Lakes.  Murdock has released 12 acclaimed CDs of folk and maritime music.  He combines ragtime, Irish, blues, and folk styles with his flair for storytelling in songs.
