MCHS Seeks Nominations for Historic Preservation Awards

Each year the Manitowoc County Historical Society recognizes, through the Historic Preservation Awards program, significant contributions to the preservation of Manitowoc County’s historic resources. The Historic Preservation Committee of the Manitowoc County Historical Society bases its decisions on the contributions of the person or project to the county and/or state.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society will present awards in the categories of Adaptive Reuse, Restoration, Preservation Service and the Bob Fay Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Annual Meeting on January 17, 2008. Awards are not necessarily presented in every category each year.

To nominate an organization or individual for an MCHS Historic Preservation Award, simply fill out a nomination form, and return it to the Heritage Center no later than Friday, November 30th, 2007. Nomination forms are also available at The Heritage Center, 1701 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, WI 54220. Only completed nominations submitted by the deadline will be considered. For further information, contact 920/684-4445.
